| New TSA Administrator Nominated |
| Friday, 12 March 2010 | |
|
On Monday, March 8, President Obama announced the nomination of Army Maj. Gen. Robert A. Harding as administrator of the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This position has been vacant for over a year, and the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) is applauding the movement forward to fill this executive position. NBTA executive director and COO Michael W. McCormick said: "Security must be the highest priority in any effective and efficient aviation system. The NBTA is pleased the administration has moved the process to fill this principal position and [is] encouraged by the commitment of committees to review the nomination quickly. We look forward to learning more about General Harding and his strategy to overcome challenges facing aviation security today." |
