New Year's On The Las Vegas Strip
| New Year's On The Las Vegas Strip |
| Monday, 24 December 2007 | |
The famous Las Vegas Strip will be closed to traffic on New Year’s Eve, allowing the projected 300,000 drunken revelers to wander about free from vehicular brutality. But fear not, Vegas party monsters – the Las Vegas Monorail will get you where you want to go from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. for the discounted price of $9, which is $6 off the regular price. The monorail can whisk you to all the major attractions and hotels on the Strip quickly and efficiently, traveling from the MGM Grand to the Sahara in less than 15 minutes. The monorail will also be in operation during the famous Las Vegas fireworks spectacular, so even if you’re between bars or casinos, you can still enjoy the show. The monorail runs behind the hotels on the east side of the strip so be aware – it's still a long walk from the street to the monorail stations. The monorail stops at seven stations: MGM Grand; Bally’s/Paris Las Vegas; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah’s/Imperial Palace; Las Vegas Convention Center; Las Vegas Hilton; and the Sahara. You can plan your route, get more information and even buy tickets ahead of time (easier than working the ticket machine when you have a few drinks in you) by visiting www.lvmonorail.com. |
