14 Quick Airline Travel Tips
Monday, 14 April 2008
airport terminal If you’re looking for a basic checklist to refresh yourself on current airtravel do’s and don’ts or are somewhat new to airline rules and regulations, the travel writers at the Los Angeles Times have provided a pretty good overview of the info you need when traveling by air. The list covers such fundamentals as “What should I wear?” to “How can I get the lowest fare?” in one general, fourteen-point list.

In some cases, you may find it a little too general (the query “How much luggage can I take?” is answered with a vague, “It depends on the airline”) but in most cases the advice is spot-on, recommending that you check with the U.S. Department of Transportation (at (airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/publications/flyrights.htm) to find out what your rights are as a flier, and pointing out that the TSA’s website at tsa.gov has an area called “SimpliFLY” that will tell you what you can’t take on a plane this week.

Check out the LA Times list (as reprinted in the Chicago Tribune) here .
