Norwegian Cruise Lines Plan Largest-Ever European Deployment
Thursday, 23 December 2010
Norwegian Cruise Lines is stepping it up a notch with their biggest European deployment in the history of the company. With four Freestyle Cruising ships ready to set sail, passengers will have some truly great travel options. These Freestyle Cruising ships are becoming very popular amongst European tourists and are akin to all-inclusive resorts in that they are far less formal than traditional cruises, allowing passengers to eat what they want when they want and do what they want both onboard and onshore.

Starting on April 12, three of the four Norwegian ships, the Norwegian Jade, the Norwegian Sun, and the Norwegian Spirit, will sail year-round. The fourth ship, the Norwegian Epic, which is the biggest and most innovative of the four, will sail seasonally, between Barcelona and Copenhagen. Norwegian Cruise Lines CEO, Kevin Sheehan, told Travel Weekly that Europe is one of the fastest growing markets when it comes to cruises and Freestyle Cruising is very popular. With increased demand it was time for the company to deploy four ships.
