Have occupancy rates suffered? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have noticed that many cities have hotel rooms that allow smoking. Where restaurants and casinos in these states have suffered, I haven't heard anything about hotels.

Does anyone know what the figures are?

I haven't run across any that don't allow smoking as of yet. Then again I haven't traveled since the new laws took effect.

I really not sure how the smoking is going at the hotels. Have not traveled in a while. I really don't think that there business is as good as it used to be.

When I saw the _title_ of this thread, I thought it was about the price of gas...

I've been in a few hotels in the Toronto area, and I don't think they're really hurting from their smoking policies. I get the impression it may be harder to find a room where smoking is allowed during peak occupancy times.

I know that there are hotels where there are smoking and non smoking floors, so the people that are staying are able to get a smoking room if they want. What I noticed on the smoking areas of the casino, the smell is really really bad!

Speaking of casinos, are any of them banning smoking?

It's been about fifteen years since I've been to Las Vegas, and a couple years since I've been to the casinos in Niagara Falls.

I bet there'd be slot machines outside, if they banned smoking in the casinos.
