I don't think I've seen this discussed here, but I thought it would be interesting. Phobias of flying, claustrophoia, those who dislike rubbing up against so many unknown people; how do you cope with flying? Do you have a stiff drink, get something from the Doctor, meditation? How do you do it?

I like heights but hate small spaces, especially if I can't see an opening at the other end. I don't cope so well. I missed out on visiting certain parts of a castle because the spaces made me claustrophobic.

I do not mind flying but if the journey is long I do tend to get a nauseating feeling and suffocated...after a while.....

I don't like unsecured heights, as in standing near the edge of a roof, but I enjoy looking out the window of an airplane. Basically, if I could fall down and over the edge, I get very nervous.

I'm not crazy about smaller spaces, but I just kind of adjust to flying with few problems.

I suffer from acrophobia or fear of heights. But I am not afraid to fly... Now and then I get a little scared when we are landing though, and it happens now that I'm older.

I'm probably most nervous when I'm taking off or landing.

I assume that when something goes wrong on a flight, it's usually at these times?
