Does Price make a difference? 3 Months ago Karma: 0
I picked up an extra set of luggage at Target, that was basically like the more expensive set we already had, but about half the price. I really can't tell the difference, and am a little irked that we spent so much on the older set.

Does price really make a difference?

I'd say yes in most cases, but even well-made luggage becomes out of date, as far as their manufacturer is concerned and goes on sale. I am the type of person that doesn't care about "fashion", so that doesn't bother me,

My wife and I purchased high-quality luggage on sale over 20 years ago and other than one small tear on the weekender bag (the one that gets the most use), the whole set still looks brand new because it was a quality set of luggage to start with.

So look for quality and shop on price.

I think it depends on how much you'll be using it. I spent some high money on a smaller suitcase, but I've travel with it so much that it is just a good investment. If you travel with suitcases once every 3 or 4 years, then having an expensive set is not really worth it. I travel at least 3 times a year, some times more, so my suitcases need to be very good!

Same here for me... some things I'm all about the newest fashions, but in luggage I could care less. If it gets me to where I'm going and doesn't break open scattering my belongings around, I'm happy with it.

I suppose you have to trust your gut feelings...if you really think that you can make very good use of the item you are purchasing in your forthcoming journeys..then the price should not really matter...

True.

Even if I had known that the luggage would be cheaper several years later, I still would have had to purchase it, though!
