Museum shows across the U.S. - 2008/03/24 14:46 The Associated Press just published a list of museum shows across the country that are new for Spring 2008 and range from Rembrandt to landscapes to celebrity photos and women in civil rights.

They are:

-At Winterthur in Delaware, through May 18, "Double Vision: 1930s Design at Winterthur" offers the first public display of stereographs taken of the rooms and gardens at Winterthur in 1935 and 1938, before the private home of Henry Francis du Pont became a museum; www.winterthur.org or 800-448-3883.

-At the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Mo., through June 15, "In the Public Eye: Photography and Fame," highlights the roots of celebrity photography, from baseball card-size photos of Sojourner Truth to Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth, and Rene Magritte; www.nelson-atkins.org or 816-751-1278.

-At the Cincinnati Art Museum, through May 21, "Rembrandt: Three Faces of the Master," includes a Rembrandt self-portrait from the Louvre; www.cincinnatiartmuseum.org or 877-472-4226.

Ah, I got all the way to the bottom of the list before I got to one that sounded very exciting... but this one sounds wonderful! Anyone here near Dallas and planning to attend?
