On July 13 the U.S. State Department will raise their fees for consular services such as visas and passports. These fees will go up substantially in some cases and are supposed to cover the true cost of offering these services. Under the new fee structure the price of adult passports will increase by $35 for a total of $110 and there will also be a $25 execution fee tacked on. Visas will also increase in value with the employment-based immigrant visa more than doubling in cost, from $355 to $720. |
