Justontime It seems to me that the union wants to negotiate but the company is out to break the union regardless of the upset for passengers.
Deltic The union won the court case so the strike could start next week. The management of BA show no signs of wanting to negotiate.
deltic From the news coverage I almost get the feeling that both sides are being provocative. It seems as if they don't want to settle this dispute.
justontime I think they want to cause maximum disruption, it is half term in two weeks.
Deltic They are at it again BA have announced a month of strikes, it feels as if they have waited until the holiday season starts to do this.

It is a shame, but I think you may be right. I wonder how much of this has to do with an election looming, different interest groups seem to be making their presence felt
