The holidays are passing and people are getting ready to make their way back home, but those traveling to and from Ontario and Quebec might be in for some travel delays as a winter storm dumps large amounts of snow on the region. Airlines are warning passengers that flights might be delayed or even canceled and it is wise to check with your airline before making your way to the airport. The storm will make its way through Quebec and head into eastern Nova Scotia and, finally, parts of Newfoundland, which will see as much as 35 cm of snow and high winds. In Ottawa as many as 12,000 homes were without power on Wednesday morning as a result of the storm.
