Study Shows Americans Are The Least Adventurous On Vacation |

Intrepid Travel commissioned Opinion Matters, a company based in the UK, to conduct a survey in which it was found that Americans are the least adventurous when it comes to travel. In the survey, 1000 Americans were surveyed along with 1000 travelers from each of four other countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
The survey uncovered some interesting statistics. For instance, it was found that Australians are the most adventurous. Of the Americans surveyed it was found that people from California are the most adventurous and they even found out that New Englanders would be the most likely to eat deep fried tarantula and are most likely to haggle in a marketplace than their neighbors in the southern states. What about sleeping under the stars? People from San Diego are most likely to do that. However, Americans sure do travel and Intrepid Travel has greater sales in the U.S. than in other locations. It is also interesting that the most popular destinations for American travelers in 2010 have been Morocco, Egypt, Peru, and India, which are all locations that are loaded with opportunities for adventure. |
