Beijing experienced a serious makeover in order to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and now that it is all over, the new Beijing has been left for tourists to enjoy. The city did some major renovations of existing landmarks and tourist attractions, improved their infrastructure, and built new hotels. These additions to the city include a new highway that links the city to the Great Wall of China. Travel Manager of The China Guide, Judy Huang, says that now is an ideal time to visit China. In fact, the China Guide recommends that anyone traveling to the country include Beijing and other mainland destinations in their travel itinerary. The Terra cotta Warriors excavation site in Xi'an is a must see and the country also has an incredible array of cultural must-sees, including music, art, and architecture. Visitors to China will be treated to all the modern amenities any traveler needs, but can still gain the full cultural experience that is China. |
