Tourism Australia has put together a fun and informative website that gives you a chance to bid on interesting and fun auction lots that highlights all the great things to see and do in Australia. The Great Aussie Auction has “experience packages” and unique Australian items. There are daily and weekly auctions and bids start at $1 USD, so it may pay to stop by today. Even if you don’t bid on anything, its fun to learn more about possible vacation ideas in Australia. There were a number of interesting travel ideas here that I had never heard of before. The auctions run through March 7, 2007 and all prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. There are a number of restrictions on each package, so read carefully before bidding. Most of the packages do not include airfare, but they are also have auctions on Qantas air passes, so that might help.
