One if the most wonderful parts of fall is taking a scenic drive or a weekend getaway and enjoying the view of the colorful foliage that marks the countryside. El Monte RV Rentals has compiled a list of the Top 10 Fall Foliage Road Trips so that those wishing to get away one more time before the snow flies will know the best places to go in order to take in the fall colors. The top 10 destinations are: Acadia National Park in Maine (particularly Park Loop Road); Adirondacks Region in New York (particularly the Central Adirondack Trail); Blue Ridge Parkway from Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia; Coconino National Forest, Arizona (General Crook Trail Loop Road); Kancamagus Scenic Byway in New Hampshire (White Mountain National Forest); Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan (Hwys 26 and 41 to Copper Harbor); Lake Champlain Valley in Vermont (Burlington to the Lake Champlain Islands); Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri (particularly Skyline Drive and Sugar Camp National Scenic Byway); San Bernardino National Forest in California (Rim of the World Scenic Byway); and San Juan Skyway in Colorado (loops from Durango through Ouray, Telluride and Cortez back to Durango). |
