Turkish Airlines will triple the number of flights to New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport by the end of May, 2012. At the current time, there is only one flight that operates between Istanbul and New York. However, there has been high demand from customers, according to the Turkish Airlines website THY, and in response the airline has made the decision to offer more flights. THY has indicated that between March 25 and October 27 the number of flights will double and that between May 28 and September 16 they will triple. The full schedule of the flights has already been made available and will depart Istanbul at 7:45 am, 1:05 pm, and 6:20 pm daily. Return flights will depart NYC at 12:50 pm, 6:25 pm, and 12:05 am daily. The added flights will operate on Boeing 777s and Airbus 330-300s. See the original Google News article for more details. |
