TSA goes back on plans to screen passengers after flights
Wednesday, 27 April 2016
The Transportation Security Administration has backtracked on its plan to postpone security screening at certain airports until after flights landed. The plan would have allowed passengers to board flights at certain airports without being screened by explosives or weapons, which would have increased the risk of danger on those flights.

Congress members, who quashed the plan, expressed shock that the TSA would even consider such an idea; the TSA said that smaller airports have less traffic and the planes used are a lot smaller than the ones used for the hijackings on September 11, 2001. As many as 22 airports would have been affected.
