The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is so popular that this year Virgin America has added two extra flights to their schedule to accommodate travelers who wish to attend the festivities. Virgin America is based in San Francisco and has added a flight from the city to Palm Springs on April 12. They have also added a return flight, from Palm Springs to San Francisco, on April 6. This comes after the airline started a new seasonal service on December 15, from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Palm Springs, via San Francisco. The response has been great and with flight requests that are linked to Coachella, adding the two extra flights at festival time seems fitting. Regular flights for those dates are showing limited availability already, according to a spot check. Flights between San Francisco and Palm Springs for the dates of the extra flights range from $179 to $499. See the original Google News article for more details. |
