News Air United Ranks Highest For On-Time Performance

For the second year in a row, United Airlines has ranked number one in on-time performance. They were ranked out of the five largest global carriers and won in the category of domestic arrivals for 2010. Their year end saw a total of 85.2% of their domestic flights arriving within 14 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. In December of 2010, United saw the fewest cancelled flights and was on top for on-time domestic arrivals when compared to the five largest global airlines. When compared to the 18 total airlines whose flight data are included in the report, they ranked second-place in on-time arrivals. Front-line staff are benefiting from the airlines on-time performance status as for each month in 2010 each front-line employee received a bonus for each time the airline ranked first or second in on-time arrivals. The total average incentive bonus given to each employee was $1240 for the year. |
