What Makes A Great Hotel Experience?

What is it that people love when they stay at a hotel? What makes them talk about the experience and recommend it to others? Coyle Hospitality Group wanted to know and they surveyed 5000 travelers to gain some insight on what makes a hotel experience wonderful for a guest.
For this survey there were no multiple choice questions, no standard format to follow. All participants had to do was answer two questions. The first question was “What hotel provided you with the best experience in the last year?” The second question was, “Why?” This is all about word of mouth feedback and this method of gaining feedback about hotels is generally riddled with wonderful stories and told in the first person, which makes it much more personal for everyone, says Jim Coyle, Founder and President of Coyle Hospitality Group. The top four things people liked most about the hotels in which they stayed were the cleanliness, staff friendliness, staff helpfulness, and the bed and bedding. |
